About The Mothers & Daughters Collective
We believe healthy relationships deserve to be celebrated.
So often, we hear stories of mothers and daughters who bump heads, grow distant, struggle to communicate, or even stop speaking altogether. These experiences are real, and they matter. But they are not the only story.
There are also mothers and daughters who choose grace over pride, curiosity over assumptions, forgiveness over resentment, and love through every season of life.
Those stories deserve to be told, too.
The Mothers & Daughters Collective was created to celebrate the beauty, strength, and lifelong journey of healthy mother-daughter relationships.
Our Mission
To collect, preserve, and share stories that inspire mothers and daughters to build relationships rooted in love, respect, trust, and growth.
Our Vision
We envision a world where healthy mother-daughter relationships are visible, valued, and celebrated.
Through storytelling, books, conversations, and community, we hope to remind women that strong relationships don't require perfection—they require intentional love, mutual respect, and a willingness to grow together.
Why Stories?
Stories have a unique way of teaching us and showing us what is possible.
They help us see ourselves in others, offer hope when we need it most, and remind us that meaningful relationships are built in everyday moments—not just milestone events.
I am currently collecting real stories from mothers and daughters as part of an upcoming book project. These stories reflect lived experiences—honest, meaningful moments that show how relationships can be strengthened over time through communication, grace, and effort.
By sharing your story, you are not only contributing to a book—you are helping create a space where other mothers and daughters can see that healthy connection is possible, even if it looks different for everyone.
Meet the Founder
Hi, I'm Rashona.
I created The Mothers & Daughters Collective to support mothers and daughters in building, strengthening, and maintaining healthy relationships.
I wanted to create a space that highlights something we don’t see enough of—the relationships that are working, growing, and being intentionally nurtured.
Healthy mother-daughter relationships don’t happen by accident. They take understanding, effort, communication, forgiveness, and care over time. And when both people are willing to do that work, those relationships can be deeply meaningful and lasting.
My hope is that this collective becomes a place where mothers and daughters feel seen, encouraged, and inspired to continue building relationships marked by love, respect, honesty, and grace.
Thank you for being here. Whether you're reading, sharing, or simply looking for encouragement, I'm grateful you're part of this journey.
Core Pillars
Love – It is the greatest commandment of all. We are all called to love. Love is the foundation of every mother-daughter relationship. Not perfect love, but present love. Love that grows, stretches, and evolves through every season of life. Love that shows up in both joyful moments and difficult ones, choosing connection again and again. The love we cultivate today shapes future generations.
Respect – It means honoring each other as individuals—listening with care, acknowledging boundaries, and valuing each other’s voice, even when you don’t always agree.
Honesty — It invites truth even when it’s uncomfortable. We believe honest communication, spoken with care, can open doors to understanding, healing and closeness.
Grace – It allows room for mistakes, misunderstandings and learning without closing the door on connection. Grace is the hallway that leads to the door of growth.
Connection – It is the result of love, respect, honesty, and grace working together over time. It may look different in every relationship, but at its core, it is the ongoing choice to stay emotionally present, engaged, and willing to grow together.
